September is passing quickly but also slowly as every day is just another day of feeding, cleaning, watering, health checks and enrichment. The numbers are finally dwindling!

The new vestibule entrance (finally!) This allows me to enter, lock the door behind me, then unlock and enter the main part of the enclosure. This is standard on more professional set ups and prevents escapees.
Front view. Thank you Felix and Johan! Now we have just 3 more to build...
This baby will be released tonight. Good luck, babies!
Last snack of tasty freeze dried Dubia roaches.
Enrichment! Kibble wrapped in layers of paper, in a paper bag, taped shut.
Enrichment! A rather complicated puzzle feeder.
Enrichment! An easier puzzle feeder but way more exciting when filled with moving superworms or mealworms.
Ice cube tray filled with bugs and hung in a way they have to wrangle around limbs and hang sideways.
So much complicated greenery to navigate, and it changes daily.

And that’s all for now.  Next post will have release photos and whatever news happens.  I’m not accepting new intakes but I am answering the phone, answering questions and directing people to rehabbers who can help.  Staying busy with baby squirrel calls!  Thanks for reading and Happy fall!
