I haven't been posting blog updates- or even Facebookand Instagram updates which take less than a minute- because there have not been spare minutes.

I know everyone wants to know what’s been happening here, so I’m at least going to share a series of photos with captions.  I’m going to take a break from rehabbing after the last 35 are released, and I’ll be able to do things like update the blog, sleep, and eat.

After their Mom was shot walking down the road to her den, I ended up with three skunklings. Having too many opossums to take on skunks, I transferred them to another rehabber. And then 3 more were found! And they too were transferred. I was sad as I enjoyed working with them last year.
One of the litters outside sharing some sniffing time.
Three litters of 5 have moved outside into the re-vamped and deep cleaned pre-release enclosures. This crew likes being up high and observing.
The older enclosure gutted, re-roofed, new wire walls, and new logs, thanks to Bradley Rossum, Rich Bergins, Cindy Jerrell, and everyone else who lent a hand
The first soft release enclosure is up- but then moved, and moved again, and moved a third time until we figured out how to keep raccoons away! Thank you Josalyn Snyder and Family for building and moving and hosting!
The enclosure is predator proof, although two babies dug out. The rest enjoyed the wheel, a comfortable bed, and access to food and fresh water
This Catbird was found grounded in a mall parking lot with an eye injury. After ophthalmic antibiotics and lots of berries, he was let go in my yard.
Porch Possum Repair! Lilo (named by her supplier of bananas and gentle pats) sustained multiple puncture wounds on her back. To get them all and clean them I had to shave her back. At least it's a nice cool summer cut!
This is an older photos- the Rubies are so much bigger now!
Snoozin' Sunday! Sweet Pea manages to find some apparently comfortable contortions.
Sweet Freedom! Every week a few "babies" get released. There remains 35 to move on, up and out.

It’s been a challenging first round.  I hope next round is better!  Thanks for reading and staying subscribed despite my absence!
